There isn't one. Free exists so you can try the real app before paying for it — that's the entire business model, same as any freemium tier. It can't be a data play even if we wanted it to be: your vault file and its encryption keys never leave your own device, so we have no contents to see, analyze, or sell on any tier, Free included.
No — your vault file lives only on your own device (or in a cloud folder you choose to sync it through, which is entirely optional). Browsing and editing your vault never require a network call, and unlocking never depends on one either — it always works fully offline. (On a licensed install, the app does try a small, silent license check in the background at most once a day when it can reach the internet — it only ever sends your license key, a device ID, and your platform, never your password or vault contents, and it never blocks or delays unlocking if you are offline.) Your Vaultherit account only holds your name, email and order history — never your vault contents.
Your 24-word recovery phrase is a permanent, unconditional bypass that only you hold — no vendor involved. Write it down once and keep it somewhere safe; on Pro, a splittable emergency access key gives you another independent way back in.

Windows for every tier. The Android app is included free once you own Lite, Pro, or Corporate — Free is Windows-only for now. (Corporate's 9 business record types are Windows-only; the complimentary Android license unlocks everything up to Pro.)
Yes — unlike Windows, where Free needs no key at all, Android always requires activating a license key to get started (after its own 14-day trial), and it unlocks every feature, the same as Pro. Windows and Android keys are separate: your Windows Lite/Pro/Corporate key only works on Windows, so we issue you a free Android key alongside it (capped at the Pro feature set) — or you can buy an Android key on its own for ₹2,499 if you never want the Windows app at all.
Each key activates on one device at a time — reinstalling on new hardware or switching phones needs the same key reactivated there. Free up your license yourself any time from Dashboard → Licenses ("Reset device binding") — no need to contact support. Lost access to your account too? Email support@vaultherit.com with your order reference instead.
No — telemetry is off by default. Crash reporting only ever activates if you deliberately paste in your own project key.
