These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Vaultherit — the desktop and mobile applications, this website, and the account services that support them (together, the "Service"), operated by Vaultherit ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or make a purchase. Vaultherit is intended for personal use in storing your own information — you're responsible for everything that happens under your account, so keep your password and any 2FA/recovery methods secure.
Vaultherit is a local, encrypted vault application for Windows and Android. Your vault file — passwords, documents, and other records you choose to store — is encrypted and decrypted entirely on your own device using a key derived from your master password (or another unlock method you've set up). We never see your master password, and we cannot decrypt or access the contents of your vault. This is true even for the optional encrypted cloud backup feature: what we store is already-encrypted ciphertext, and we hold no key capable of reading it.
Because of this design, we also cannot recover a forgotten master password for you. Your recovery phrase (shown once, at setup) is the only backup we're aware of — losing both your password and your recovery phrase means your vault's contents cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
Your Vaultherit account (the one you use to sign in to this website) is separate from your vault. It holds your name, email, phone number (optional), order history, and license keys — never your vault's contents. One account per person; don't share your login credentials. You can secure your account further with two-factor authentication and/or Face ID/Fingerprint (WebAuthn) sign-in from Dashboard → Security, and you can review or sign out other active sessions from the same page.
Free — Windows only, no license key required, time-unlimited access to a limited set of record types, so you can genuinely try the app before buying. Lite, Pro, and Corporate unlock progressively larger Windows feature sets and include a complimentary Android license (capped at the Pro feature set on Android — Corporate's business record types are Windows-only). Corporate is intended for a single business owner to hold and maintain their own company's credentials and documents; it is not a shared or multi-user/team license. A standalone Android license is also available for Android-only use, and includes its own trial period before a license key is required (the exact trial length is set inside the app itself and may change — check the app for the current figure).
A license key is personal and non-transferable, and activates on one device at a time. If you need to move to a new device (new phone, reinstalled PC, etc.), you can free up your existing key yourself from Dashboard → Licenses ("Reset device binding") without contacting support.
Lite, Pro, Corporate, and standalone Android licenses are one-time purchases, not subscriptions — you pay once and the license is yours for as long as these Terms remain in effect. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your full card or bank details. Prices are shown in INR at checkout.

Every account gets a referral code and link. When someone you refer makes a paid purchase, you earn a commission (currently shown in your Dashboard → Referral & Wallet — the rate may change from time to time, and referring more paying customers unlocks milestone bonus rates). Commission is credited to your in-account wallet, and you can request a payout once your balance reaches the posted minimum, to the bank/PayPal/UPI details you provide. We review payout requests manually before sending them.
We reserve the right to withhold or reverse commission earned through fraud, fake accounts, self-referral, or other abuse of the program, and to modify, pause, or end the referral program at any time. If a referred purchase is later refunded under our money-back guarantee, the associated commission is deducted back from the referrer's wallet.
Coupon codes, where offered, are subject to the terms shown at checkout (discount amount, usage limits, expiry) and have no cash value. We may modify or discontinue any coupon at any time.
You agree not to: reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass the licensing/activation system of the app; use the Service for anything unlawful; abuse the referral program (fake signups, self-referral, coordinated fraud); attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account or to our infrastructure; or resell or redistribute license keys outside of the gift-purchase feature we provide.
You own the contents of your vault, always. We own the Vaultherit software, website, and brand. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what account-level data we collect and how it's used — it's never your vault's contents, which we're architecturally unable to see.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, including for fraud or abuse of the referral program. You can request deletion of your account at any time from Dashboard → Security → Account & Data; we review deletion requests manually rather than deleting instantly, so a request doesn't get carried out accidentally. Suspending or deleting your website account never deletes or locks your local vault file — that stays fully yours and fully usable, independent of this website.
The Service is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable and secure, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
